Dr. G.C.Bhimani is Vice Chancellor of Saurashtra University and Professor & Head of the Statistics family, Director of IQAC, and syndicate member of the Saurashtra University. He is also acting as a dean of the faculty of science. He also worked as a Coordinator of the UGC-NET examination, Director of the Centre for Social Exclusive & Inclusion Policy, and Chairman of Saurashtra University Central Admission Board (SUCAB). He has a very good understanding of the academic disciplines with 30 years of experience. He has published more than 60 research papers, 10 Books, and almost 30 Ph.D. students under his guidance. He was awarded for National Merit Scholarship for higher education during the year 1984-1986, by the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat. His specialization is in applied statistics and Biostatistics. He is serving in this post since 1993. He has the ability to engage constructively with people, excellent communication skills, is a very good ambassadorial and diplomatic person, and has excellent delegation skills. He is promoting and representing the University both internally and externally. He visited almost all the continentals for academic pursuits.
